"Hello everyone and welcome to another Gamereactor Quick Look.
I think we can all agree that a lot of companies in the tech space, over the course of time, they add more and more products to the portfolio, which by their very nature, do somewhat the same kinds of things."
"And so it becomes more and more confusing as a consumer to navigate these portfolios.
What product fits my particular needs?
That also counts for DJI because, well, they make a lot of cool drones, but which particular drone do you get?
Do you spring for a Mini 4 or a Mini 4 Pro?
Or do you upgrade that to the Air?
Do you then need an Air 3 or 3S?
Do you need the Mavic?
If so, can you go with the Classic or do you need the Pro?
There's a lot of drones that are somewhat within the same category."
"Sure, they add to those categories by launching the Neo, which is very much meant for sort of amateur use, but in terms of sort of that semi-professional space, that's difficult to navigate in.
But, I can help you because this, the 3S, the Air 3S, is, by my account, the best drone that they make."
"And the most comprehensive one without going too overboard.
Now obviously you can see that I have the little bag here.
I always think that the Air bag is the best one that DJI makes.
This is part of the Fly More kit, which adds a few extra little things."
"So this bag is one of them.
Extra propellers, if these break, is another.
And the extra battery packs and charging kit is also one.
Now there's a couple of reasons why you would choose, I think, the Air over, let's say, a Mavic."
"For one, this, while it does only have two lenses next to the Mavic Pro's three, but there are lens kits in the Fly More kit, meaning that you can upgrade one of those wide lenses to an ultra-wide if that is what you wanted.
But there's, it's basically the smaller things that I think that DJI has really nailed this time."
"For one, you get the RC2 controller, the brand new one with the better antenna array, meaning that you can just maintain a better connection for longer.
You get this lovely compact battery charging kit, one USB type-C cable.
It still takes way too long to charge these, I think, but it's cool."
"The way to harness it is that there is no, like, five-point racing harness as there is with the Mavic.
It's just this plastic barrier, which very, very easily just snaps on like that and you're ready to go, basically."
"Very easy, very easy to get in and out of the bag when you want quick shots.
It's just overall really cool.
Inside, well, there isn't really a lot of change on the outside next to the regular Air 3, but you now get 42 gigs of internal storage, which is great."
"And the lenses have evolved a little bit, so you get a one-inch CMOS wide and a 1 over 1.3 3x telephoto and, as I said, swappable lenses for an ultra-wide if that's what you want.
Of this RC2 controller, you get with a bunch of different DJI drones, but it's still awesome."
"It's a 5.5-inch, 1080p, 700-nit screen, and there's these little joysticks and a bunch of modes that are available right there, and it works very well.
There is also a new tracking mode, so there is ActiveTrack 2.0, which essentially just means that you can very broadly sketch a square or an object on the screen, and the Air 3s will follow that diligently while both swerving obstacles using its sensor arrays, but also just adjusting the field of view a little bit, swerving and panoramic, so that it creates a more cinematic, automated shooting mode, which is great."
"There is also a bunch of really cool shooting, both in stills and video, so that's 10-bit 4K at 60fps, which is great.
There's options for 10-bit D-Log and M and HLG modes, which should make for some really interesting still images as well."
"It's just a fantastic pack of jack-of-all-trades, but just cut out the master of none, because it's just a really masterful product.
I feel like this is DJI coming in full circle here, and I'd be happy to recommend this to all semi-professionals."
