"That means that this little controller that Sony made, which has a few Astro Bot flourishes, will be very popular indeed in the weeks and months to come, particularly leading up to holiday sales I imagine.
So I received one from Sony, very happy to take that on, and I wanted to show it to you basically."
"Now, I should state that because of the way Astro Bot in general is sort of color coded, there isn't big changes in terms of what is essentially offered here, like the Concord controller which utilizes a lot more like matte black and red was a lot more different than your standard DualSense controller."
"But still, this does have flourishes that I think are absolutely gorgeous.
You don't get anything else in the box, mind you, not even as far as I can tell, a USB Type-C cable to charge it, which is quite weird, but still, there are some really cool touches here."
"I thought that maybe the eyes were digital, that it could do something, like some pulsing light or whatever, but it just seems to be painted onto the touchpad itself.
But of course, there are small Astro sort of robot-like accents here and there carved into the DualSense itself."
"The analog sticks are white instead of black, and these sides here is a semi-translucent blue, also echoing the overall sort of color science of Astro Bot itself.
There is also blue colorways inside the face buttons and the D-pad, and it's just overall very lovely."
"Again, one could probably have wished for something which would deviate more from the standard DualSense sort of template, I would guess, but you can also not change that Astro itself takes a lot of inspiration from the PS5 and DualSense design to begin with.

"So I think it looks gorgeous and it is on sale right now, but I would wager that it will probably sell out because it is meant to be limited.
It says so right here that it is a limited edition controller, but as far as I could understand when I spoke to Sony about this, these were a lot more readily available than the Concorde ones."
"Might be because the Concorde was taken offline two weeks after, but they didn't know that when they green-lighted the controller designs.
It's just the nature of the way that some controllers that are limited edition are more limited than others."
"It does seem like that this will be readily available for now, but given the popularity of the game, it might run out.
So if you like the look of this little extra controller here, well, I would rush out to get one."
